Double Buns: 3 Rad Ways to Wear the '90s Hairstyle.
Double the bun, double the fun.
Celebs like Sofia Richie and Cara Delevingne
have long been acquainted with the messy bunand the top knot, so it was only a matter of time, really, until they got bored. While the type of bun
you wear on the regular says a lot about you, it actually says more when you're willing to step out
of your comfort zone with a rad, new style.
"Most people might be intimidated by a double-bun style because it can border on juvenile, but
it's a really fun, of-the-moment hairstyle for summer," shared celeb hairstylist Suzie Kim.
If you're game to give it a go, here are three simple versions you can try at home!
The Low Double Bun
"This is probably the lowest-key way to do the double bun," shared Suzie.

Step 1: Part hair down the middle and secure each section into two low ponytails. "You don't need
to brush your hair smooth; it looks better a little messy because when it's sleek and tight it can look
childish," warned the pro.

Step 2: Twist each pigtail loosely and use a teasing brush to tease upwards. "You can spray
a little dry shampoo on the area before you tease to give it a little texture if needed," shared Suzie.

Step 3: Wrap hair around the base and secure with bobby pins. "To keep it looking wispy and
boho-like, tug at your buns to pull them apart a little," she summed up to complete the look.
The Vertical Double Bun
"This is an editorial look, so only go this route if you're a high-fashion kind of girl looking forsome newfound edge," encouraged Suzie.

Step 2: "Place the top bun where you feel most comfortable—if you have a round face, place it higher
up on your head and if you have a longer face, place it lower," shared Suzie.

being sure not to pull your hair all the way through.
Step 4: Wrap each loop around the base and secure. "This double wrap gives you volume
without having to tease your hair," mentioned the pro.

with hairspray. And you're done!
The High Double Bun
"This is the riskiest way to wear double buns because it's so in your face—but it's whatthe celebs are doing right now and it's actually really fun," shared Suzie.

"Look at yourself in the mirror to make sure they're even and that they aren't too far apart,
" noted the stylist.
