A Boy who lunged at officers with pickaxe fatally shot by Miami police.
Follow @Mazana17Police said 25-year-old Ethan James Rincon was shot and killed by MIami-Dade officers after he lunged at them with a pick-axe Tuesday night.
Ethan James Rincon, 25, bashed out windows and slashed tires with the pickaxe on six cars near his family’s Palmetto Bay home around 9:30 p.m., according to the Miami-Dade Police Department. The neighbors dialed 911.
Rincon ran into his family’s SW 88th Place house and locked the door when the cops showed up, police said. The family allowed the three officers into the home, where Rincon “lunged at the officers” while still holding the pick-axe, according to a statement released by the department.
“Once inside there was a confrontation with the individual with the pickaxe where officers discharged their firearms,” Miami-Dade police Detective Daniel Ferrin told WFOR-TV.

Rincon was arrested last month on charges of battery and disorderly intoxication, county arrest records show. His apparent Facebook page calls him “Ethan Rave Rincon” and shows several electronic dance music videos.
