Mulberry's creative director Johnny Coca presented his first
collection for the British brand at London Fashion Week in February, and
moving towards the 'see now, buy now' model Mulberry have released a
capsule collection of the first key pieces designed by Coca. Yes, this
includes the Clifton bag.

Prior to Mulberry, Coca worked at Celine under Phoebe Philo where he
created a number of blockbuster handbags, and so naturally there was
considerable pressure on him to deliver in the bag department and create
the next Bayswater. He didn't disappoint, introducing the cross-body
Clifton bag, with prices starting at a sensible £425
3.
He also created the grown up top handled Chester bag, available in the capsule collection - £1,450
4.
But it wasn't just the bags that demonstrated he was turning things
around at Mulberry: the shoes are just as covetable. His chunky
platforms have already been worn by street style stars, such as Eva
Chen, and the studded boots and Mary Janes could well be next fashion
month's answer to the Gucci loafers and be a prominent feature on the
front row. The Marylebone booties in burgundy and navy and black are £495

We'll have to wait until Autumn for the full collection to hit
stores, but some of the military-inspired ready-to-wear pieces are also
available now as part of this capsule collection. There's a leather
jacket with zipper detailing, navy wool felt skirt, dress and top with
rows of gold studs and two white poplin shirts. Skirt, £345
